DUBANA is a vibrant community that brings together alumni, professionals, researchers, educators, and students connected through the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Dhaka University.
What began nearly two decades ago as a small gathering of alumni under one roof has grown into a strong and dynamic network across North America. Those early moments of reconnecting with old friends and sharing memories laid the foundation for an organization built on collaboration, mentorship, and a shared commitment to our academic roots.
Over the years, DUBANA has evolved far beyond alumni reunions. Today, we proudly support scholarships for current DU-BMB students and incoming students pursuing opportunities in North America. Through initiatives such as DUBANA Talks, we discuss emerging scientific and professional topics while also providing guidance on career opportunities, professional training, admissions, and day-to-day life in the United States and Canada. We offer mentorship and admission-related support to students aspiring to pursue higher education in North America. In addition, we are in the process of launching the DUBANA Welfare Fund and the DUBANA Travel Award to further support our community members and students. We also continue to support the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Dhaka University through meaningful academic and community engagement.
The strength of DUBANA comes from the dedication and generosity of its members. Your continued involvement helps us expand opportunities for students, strengthen professional connections, and sustain the growth of our organization.
